Engage Your Clients by Putting Them First
Amit Bhuta's mission in life is to help people, and his success in real estate is just a byproduct of that. He has been in real estate for fifteen years, but for the first eleven, Amit could not say he was passionate about his job. Much of his time was spent following the advice of coaches and resources, looking for any way possible to serve himself. The turning point came when Amit decided to put his clients first. Once he made that decision, his job became a lot more fun and rewarding.
Learn to Love Your Career as an Agent
When Amit was muscling through the initial stages of his real estate career, he didn't know much about the industry. He was listening to a lot of opinions and struggling to adapt. And although the idea of putting the consumer first is great in theory, he didn’t realize initially that this, in and of itself, is an actionable strategy. That was the biggest hurdle Amit had to overcome.
Bringing two new agents onto his team provided an excellent opportunity for Amit to further develop his strategy. That is because Amit was responsible for bringing them up to speed and teaching them how to avoid fifteen years' worth of mistakes that he made. It forced Amit to articulate his mission and create tactics that reflected it. And as it turned out, content creation was the best way to move forward with a client-centric strategy. The All In team began looking at the market through a new lens.
Create Content That Your Clients Want to See
Media plays a significant role in Amit's success because it develops a stronger connection between the consumer and his brand. But that is because he creates content with intention. If your friend was coming to town and you had to show them around, what aspects of your neighborhood would you want to highlight for them? That is one of the many questions Amit and his team ask when they are exploring ideas for media content. Amit and his team are creating content that is unique, specifically targeted at what people really want to know! That’s what sets them apart from most agents in their market.
However, video alone is not going to cut it. Just because you can build a brand with great content does not mean it will generate revenue. Amit and his team still use grassroots marketing tactics to build deep relationships with their clients. Content and visibility will help get you found, but real human connection, and serving your clients’ needs, are what takes you to the next level. The connections won't go anywhere if you don't take the time to develop them. So, finding a balance between traditional relationship building and innovative marketing strategies is the key to success.
By stepping into the shoes of your consumer, you can take your real estate business to the next level. It enables you to build strong connections with prospects and clients before you ever make the first touchpoint. Your content is an integral part of that. But if you don't create it with the consumer at heart, it will not live up to its potential.
